Last week, we reported that Star Golden Bell was ending, and that it would be replaced with a new show called "100 Points."
Many were looking forward to the show, but it was met with extreme disappointment and some anger from viewers. Many were disappointed because main MCs Park Kyunglim and Park Myungsoo did not work with each other at all. Viewers commented that their cooperation level was at 0.
Even worse, on one of the corners the idols were asked, "How did General Lee Soonshin die?" The answer was that he fell from an enemy's shot. General Lee Soonshin is one of the most important and revered figures in Korean history, and viewers were not amused when the idols answered, "He got shot by a BB gun," and "He got shot down by bad comments!"
These answers caused viewers to turn off the TV immediately and turn to the comment page for the show. Almost all criticized the show by saying, "This is the most disappointing and pitiful variety show I've ever seen," and "I can't believe he was degraded like that. Do you guys think this is funny?"
Although to foreigners it may not seem like a big deal, to Koreans he is extremely important. Do you think it was right for the idols and the staff to allow those comments to air?
