SNSD topped the Oricon Charts once again. The group released their Korean mini-album, "Hoot", in Japan on December 22nd. The mini-album did not include new Japanese or Korean songs and was sold in three different versions: regular edition, limited edition with DVD, and limited pressing. "Hoot" took second place on the Oricon Daily Charts on its first day, following Ayumi Hamasaki taking first place with "Love Song".
"Hoot" is the first Korean single SNSD has not re-recorded in Japanese as part of their Japanese promotions. The high charting of "Hoot" shows the fan base and popularity SNSD has acquired in Japan, despite releasing a Korean album instead of a Japanese album. Meanwhile, Tiffany will finally be rejoining the rest of SNSD after recovering from her knee injury.
